After spending a good portion of my day figuring out our new insurance and scheduling a ton of appointments I dragged out my polymer clay and did a little scupley sculpting. I'd show you what I am making, but it isn't done!*************
Day 24 {Bye bye Little Mermaid and friends}
Sunday I set Kate up so that she could sand off the Little Mermaid images I so lovingly applied 12 years ago. After sanding she painted the outside of the drawers turquoise and I decoupaged the scrapbook papers she selected to the fronts of the drawers. A very cute update.I didn't realize until I downloaded this shot that you can see the paper bits flying off from under the sander (but I did feel them). I guess that would be why they recommend safety goggles.

Day 23 {The sun will come out.......}
Beautiful day. After hitting the scrapbook store we did some antique shopping. We couldn't help but walk to the end of the street to see if the waves were still big. Still big-ish, but nothing like a few days ago.(texture: shadow house)

I love the bits of paper flying off that shot of the sanding.. very cool. And a fabulously fast shutter speed to capture that, I must say.
