Day 81 thru 86

Hi everyone!  My girls are on spring break and we have visitors in town so I probably won't be spending much time online this week.  But I promise to stop by real soon and catch up.

Day 86 {Sea World}

My cousin, her hubby, two kids and my Aunt are all in town visiting.  So the next few days will be filled with Sarah's adorable babies!

Day 85 {Dancing with the Stars.......ER style}

 The last thing you expect to do while on vacation is visit the ER!

Unfortunately Sarah and I spent three and a half hours in the ER with her daughter Sydney waiting to have her Nursemaids elbow popped back into place.  

I had some cute shots of Sydney patiently waiting to have her elbow looked at, but I love this picture the best because it is of Sarah trying to trick Sydney into using using her right arm so that the Doctor would discharge us (after the adjustment). 

It was really entertaining for me, Syd and the rest of the patients laying in the ER hallway!   You go Sarah!

Day 84 {Run Reid Run}

 Reid ran the 100, 200 and 400 today!  I cracked up when I saw this photo of Reid running the 100

because she had her tongue sticking out.  

 Day 83 {She never surprises me}

 So where do you go when you want to read a book?  For Kate, her new hang out is the shed on the side of our house!!  Yes, she is high enough up that her feet are resting under the eves of the house.

 

Day 82 {I need a nap}

 Reid had and orthodontist visit this afternoon and I was so tired I stayed in the car and closed my eyes for just a few minutes.  These were the bushes next to my car in the parking lot!

Day 81 {Breakfast}

Nothing like a grapefruit with some honey to get the day going!

Weekend plus one!

Day 80 {I'm also a chauffeur}

Gas companies love people like me. Taxi mom.  The one who is always driving some where for someone or something.

First stop on Sunday's agenda, was picking up Reid and a friend from a sleepover birthday party.  Or should I say, Lack of sleep sleepover.

I knew I wasn't going to have a lot of time to devote to picture taking so I took this shot out the car window while I waited for my "customers" to arrive.

I only took 10 pictures this weekend......I think that might be a record.

 Day 79 {Scrapbooking}

 I am so behind on the girls scrapbooks.  So this weekend I vowed to get back into the swing of things and catch up!  I completed one page.  But all the stuff is still sitting out so maybe I'll get a few more done this week.  

Why can't there be more hours in the day?

Day 78 {Photography Badge}

For the past two Girl Scout meetings we have been working on a photography badge.  It has been fun sharing my love of photography with the girls.  On Friday the girls took what I taught them (about composition) and shot pictures in the park.  I let each of them have a turn using my 35mm camera (which they thought was sooo cool).

I was impressed with the shots the girls came up with.  When I have time I will share some of the best shots on my other blog.

Day 76 {Helping Dad}

I just got back from 2.5 hours of helping my Dad photograph and edit pictures of the Sports Mobile he is selling.  To make things easy for him I set up a quick blog with all of the pictures and information so that he didn't have to figure out how to email them to interested buyers.

This shot is of his side yard where I had my car parked.  He has a really nice xeriscaped yard that has been featured on Garden tours.  With all the rain we have had the weeds are going crazy!

Day 75 {Duck, Duck........}

When we sprang forward (time change) on Saturday we sprang into beautiful warm spring weather.  So after dropping Kate off at her Dance class I headed down to the Bay for a walk.  Loved this little white duck just hanging by the shore.

Day 74 {When all else fails, shot some fruit}

End of the day, the sun was setting and I was without a picture.  The sunlight on the fruit looked really nice so click, click.....off to make dinner!

I used textures by Shadow House creations on all three pictures!

For those of you that ventured a guess on Day 73's picture.......I'm actually not entirely sure what it is, except that it is an old piece of farm equipment I found down at the ranch.  I believe they use it to "rake" the dirt.

Day 72 {Seeing green}

Reid and I made a detour on Saturday and ended up at the St. Patrick's day celebration.  Since we weren't planning on attending the event we weren't wearing green and we kind of felt out of place!  Of course Reid has her built in red hair, which makes everyone automatically assume that she is Irish.

Day 71 {Drive by shooting}

We had friends over tonight so I spent the cleaning and getting ready for our guest (boring shots). So on the way home from picking up the girls from school I quickly took a shot out the window!

Day 70 {First track meet}

Reid qualified to run in the 4 by 4 and the 400 in her first track meet.  The 4 by 4 was the last run of the evening (hence the low light out of focus picture).  She was nervous, but considering they were put in a race with a mix of varsity and junior varsity, she held her own.

Day 69 {Dishwasher or storage}

Sadly, this dishwashers has spent more years as storage than actually cleaning dishes! I can't wait to get rid of it!

I have projects (kitchen and life remodel) that I need to focus on which is why I haven't been blogging a lot lately.  I miss not visiting all my bloggy friends on a regular basis.

Hopefully I will be back into the swing of things and will be by to catch up on your projects!

 Kate got her hair cut on Saturday!  Silly me didn't bring my camera so this is the day after shot. She is loving her new bangs and layered cut.

Day 64 {Silly Teens}

 I actually didn't take this shot (mine were boring), but it is my Nikon 550S point and shot camera so I can use it......right?  I love how much fun the girls were having taking pictures of themselves at the JV Soccer Banquet.  I thought this was such a fun creative pose.

Day 63 {Tile}

I was out looking at tiles and granite samples for our new kitchen.  I am always drawn to glass mosaic tiles.  We might be using them in our new back splash.   I really do wish there weren't so many choices though.  It is over whelming!!!

 Day 62 {Texture}

Shadow House Creations (link on side bar) has a tutorial up on how he creates his awesome textures.  After reading it I ran around taking pictures so that I can make some of my own textures (this is a shot of that threshold on our back patio door.....I didn't realize it was so jacked up).

I'll let you know if I come up with anything worth sharing!

 I swear, kids are money pits!  Reid is now on the track team.  Which means new running shoes and spikes.  Money pits!

The title kind of says it all.  We had a strange day of off and on bursts of rain.
