Day 90 {Poodle-Do}

Before!           After!

Day 89 {Violin}

I love that my girls are musically inclined.
Reid is learning to play guitar and Kate is learning the violin.

Day 88 {Avocado's}

Avocado's from my Dad's tree.  I can't wait for these babies to ripen up!

Day 87 {Return}

The girls are back from their whirlwind week on the East coast.
They visited Boston, New York City, Philadelphia, Lancaster and Washington DC.
A good time was had by all.

Day 86 {Escapee}

You naughty little dog......I called the fence company today!  Your days of escaping into the canyon for a little joy ride are numbered.

Day 85 {sunflower}

Rusty yard art makes me happy!

Day 84 {Jumping rope}

A little Double Dutch anyone?

Day 83 {Tutoring}

Some of the mysteries of QuarkXPress have been revealed!
Thanks Barbara! It looks like another 5th grade yearbook with your stamp on it will make it to press!

Day 82 {Yoga}

The girls in my troop have started presenting the badges of their choice.
Today was about managing stress (like 10 year olds have anything to be stressed
about) with a little bit of Yoga!

Day 81 {Rain}

It's raining, it's pouring, the old man in snoring!

This has been one crazy busy week.  I'll bet that on most days I took exactly one shot.
I just didn't have time to think a lot about taking pictures.

But hey, I didn't miss a day!  Off to do some much needed spring cleaning.

Day 80 {Airport}

Atomic Betty and her side kick!
The 4:00 a.m. wake up call couldn't crush the excitement of the day.
Have fun girls!

Day 79 {Packing}

Today involved running around making sure that Reid had everything
she needed for her upcoming trip.  The evening was spent packing and making
sure we didn't forget to pack anything on the list!

We practically had to sit on the Roll on to get to zip!

Day 78 {Rattle Snake}

This guy showed up in our back yard today!

This is one and only picture I took for the day!
If you want to read the story and see some nice orchid photographs head over
to my other blog:  One Crafty Mama!

Day 77 {Jog-a-thon}

We had beautiful weather for the Jog-a-thon today!  I took 280 pictures of the 5th graders running around the track raising money for the PTA.  I was pleasantly surprised to find that I got a lot of really good shots for the yearbook!

Kate was surprised to see that her feet weren't touching the ground in this shot!

Day 76 {St.Patrick's Day}

Ahh, St. Patrick's Day.  The day when everyone has a wee bit of Irish in them!

Day 75 {bulbs}

Kate and I took a little walk through Balboa Park this afternoon.  I took pictures of the old
buildings, street performers and all of the beautiful orchids in the Botanical garden.
Of all the pictures to chose from to represent today, I picked this one.
I don't know what it is about it but it just feels good to me.

Day 74 {Lunch}

Jim and I did a little art supply shopping in the downtown area of Little Italy.
After we had what we needed we stopped in and had lunch at the best italian bakery in town.
If I lived down the street from this bakery I would probably eat there everyday.

Day 73 {Hats}

I am the back stage director for the school performance at my daughters elementary school.
I am also in charge of costumes for several of the dance groups.  I'm not feeling it this year!
But I found the hats for the 14 girls in one of my groups!  Yeah!  Now I need
to find the rest of the costume.

Day 72 {Site Sales}

Our first Girl Scout cookie site sale.  140 boxes sold in two hours. Not too shabby.

Day 71 {Summer}

Naughty kitty!

Day 70 {Waiting}

What do you do while you wait for your big sister to finish her guitar lessons?
If you are 10, you drop down the third row seats in your moms SUV and play!

Day 69 {Giveaway}

Today is all about the spring fling giveaways.

Day 68 {Sequins}

A plate full of sequins on Monday can only mean one thing.....a crafty girl scout meeting!

Day 67 {dirty}

Yiks.....there isn't anything like the sun shining through your garden window to scream at you that it is time to clean!

Day 66 {Cookies}

Taking orders for Girl Scout cookies is the easy part.
Delivering 210 boxes. Not so easy!

Day 65 {Church}

I was raised Catholic.  My mom got us to attend church by bribing us with donuts.
As a young child I found just about everything related to the Catholic church frightening
and when I was old enough to say no thanks, I stopped going.

Despite my childhood feelings, I can't deny the fact that the Catholic's know
how to build a pretty mean church.

This Catholic church near the beach has a sign on it with the date of 1948 on it.
The info on the sign is written in Latin (surprise surprise) so I can only
assume that was the date the church was built.

Day 64 {nest}

Bougainvilleas are a beautiful, tangled mess of a plant.  Apparently they are also a great place for birds to call home.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009

Day 63 {coffee break}

Wednesdays are crazy busy days for me.  Sometimes by 3:00 I literally
want to pass out, but I can't because I still have to pick up my oldest and get her to guitar lessons, then back home for dinner and homework.

Today was tough.  Today required a mid day coffee break.
Chia Frap, no whip for me.....Coffee cake for Kate.

Day 62 {Xena}

This is our Standard Poodle Xena (yes, she is a poodle princess warrior).

One of Xena's favorite past times is to sit on the edge of our property and stare into the canyon. Her second favorite past time is making sure that she knows where I am at all times.

Day 61 {Iguana}

This is a quirky (ugly) house in our neighborhood.

A few years ago their VW van caught fire and burnt down their garage.  When they rebuilt they decided to add this odd shaped room on top of the garage.

On the highest point of the addition they added a plastic iguana.  It is seriously the ugliest house on the block, but that iguana always makes me laugh.

Day 60 {Tide pool}

This weekend was absolutely gorgeous.  I grabbed the girls and a friend and we headed down to the tide pools to hunt for sea life.  Here is just one of the many shots I took.

Day 59 {Alice}

Alice kicking up her heels!  Pretty steady for a two week old.
