Day 43 thru 47

Day 47 {Pleats}

One of the things the girls have learned to do over the years (thanks to their dad) is iron their own clothes.  They do this every morning.  Even though Kate's polyester uniform skirt could go through a hurricane and still have pleats in it, she likes her pleats to be extra sharp.

Day 46 {Lady bugs}

The gorgeous weather has brought the lady bugs out to play.

Day 45 {Happy Valentines Day}

Need I say more?

Day 44 {You scream, I scream....}

Cold Stone ice cream......my poison for the evening = sweet cream with a brownie.
(I took this shot with my Nikon Cool pix 550)

Day 43 {Apple peels}

Reid and I made two apple pies to take to a friends house for a dinner party. They were heavenly.

I love how you use textures with your photos. This is something I really need to experiment with! I especially love the photo of your daughter with the light streaming in the window.

I especially like the apple peelings pic! Makes me wonder what could you do with those leftover peels (besides putting them in the compost bin, that is)!

Amazing pictures! I love the green apple peelings and the pleats picture with your daughter. Texturing the pictures is so cool! I must learn how.

It couldn't be wrong to show the kids how to iron their own clothes as early as possible.
There's no wintertime where you live, or?? It's so nice to see your sommerly photos. I can't stand all the snow here anymore.
Hugs, maike

Each time I scrolled down from the first photo to the last, I thought, I like this one best...no THIS one, lol... They are all fantastic. How did you get that old film effect at the corners? I love the first one best simply because I love the almost 1940's feel it evokes. ;)

These are all GORGEOUS. Seriously -- you amaze me with every single photograph.

What I wouldn't give to get some lessons from you.

Makes me want to start playing with textures too!

Great photos! I LOVE the heart shaped sand! BTW, we don't always 'do' Valentine's, it was a random surprise. Cold Stone sweet cream with strawberries is my favorite. I like the apple peels photo!

Yes, I agree and thnk you need to host a virtual workshop on using textures.. (: I still can't figure out how to use them.

LOVE the apple peels.. this is random, but it's my 2010 New Year's resolution to learn to make apple pie. I hope to have a shot like this soon!

And I'm jealous of the sand. Implies warmth(: Very creative, though.

How funny, when I was in school I would get up and iron too. Now I only buy things I for sure WON'T have to iron :) I love the textures you used and again I am in awe of how you find such beauty in the day to day. I hope I learn something from you as I continue my daily pictures. I need to get the camera away from my family and start using my imagination. You inspire me :)

The ironing photo captures the essence of girlhood because of the lighting. It is so beautiful in every way.

Best. Valentine's. Shot. Ever. I love it!!

The texture shots are awesome!! Do you use MCP Action's Texture Applicator? It makes adding textures SO much easier and it's free!

LOVE that heart picture! Man your pictures just always amaze me. The colors, the edits you do.. the different things you think to take pictures of. You really have a gift

I'm with Emmy -- you're amazing. Just stopping by here, brightens up my day -- every single time.

I know I kid you about this a lot, but you have such an eye for color -- everything you shoot is so vibrant.

I love that Valentine shot - great idea.

As for the ironing -- I like my shirts to be VERY crisp - it just feels right.

Wonderful shots here!

Oh man - I LOVE the layers and masks and textures you're using! I took a class several months ago and haven't used the knowledge much so I'm afraid I'm gonna lose it!!
