Day 185 {Happy 4th of July}
I probably should have looked up some tips on shooting fireworks before giving it ago, but I'm into winging it! As a result my shots headed straight for the trash, but I do like this silhouette of the girls.************************
Day 184 {The New Suit}
Not something I normally would have picked, but for goodness sakes it fit the girls and it actually looked good! Ok, make that decent. *******************************
Day 183 {Fair Tradition}
The first thing we always do when we get to the fair is cram into a photo booth and take our picture. This year it was just me and Kate so we had a little bit of room to spare.******************************
Day 182 {Summer the Cat}
This is my fat cat Summer. We adopted Summer 10 years ago on our way to a 4th of July BBQ from a group of little kids standing on the corner hocking a litter of kittens.***********************************

I'm visiting from Jillien's blog! You have a wonderful eye as a photographer. I love all these photos! The photo booth ones are my favorite. I also think the sunflower is amazing!
i think that silhouette is awesome! makes me wish i had gotten a shot like that.
Beautiful sunflowers!
I'm back. I didn't realize this was all one post. I love the picture of your cat and the silhouette too. I need to study up in fireworks before next year. Mine didn't come out at all.
You find ways to express your daily posts with a unique perspective! Love all these new shots, the sunflowers, the cat, the suit, the fair pictures (what a hoot!), the silhouted firework watchers.
For good fireworks pictures you need a fast camera setting. Not all camera handle that well.
All these are great. Nice job!
Is there anything that isn't spectacularly beautiful in San Diego?
I love that silhouette shot.
I think your silhouette shot rocks!
Awww, my favorite! The smile flower. ;)
Whoops, like Mari, I didn't notice the other pics in the same post. :) Summer is a lucky cat. She looks pretty darned happy. Love the fun shots of you and Kate in the photo booth. And I'm like you -- I woulda just winged it with the fireworks instead of researching first (duh), but the one you posted here is pretty darn good!
Oh I love sunflowers, these are my favorite flowers!!!
Great pic!
sorry, I forgot the other great pictures!! All are beautiful - but I love the one of the sweet littel cat and the one with the people in the shadow of the firework
Would you believe that I happened to be in Venice on a night when they shoot about the biggest fireworks over the famous lagoon, and I did not get one decent picture? I should have read up .... I comforted myself that those photographers who were there with tripods and equipment three times their body weight would beat me anyway. Some of their lenses looked like they could take off and fly.
