I let Kate make donuts this morning. Since I don't ever make fried foods this was a rare treat.

Day 148 {Award}
I am not normally a horn tooter, but on Thursday I received a Golden Oak Service Award
from the PTA.
The Golden Oak Award is the most prestigious of the state PTA's service awards, reserved for individuals or organizations that have made significant contributions to the welfare of children and youth in a school or community.
I don't usually care about stuff like this, but after 9 years service to my girls Elementary school PTA it felt good to be recognized in such a big way!

Day 145 {Test Temple}
I often forget that I can manipulate the white balance on the camera, so while I was waiting for my daughter to get out of the movie theater I chose the Mormon Temple that was across the freeway as my tester for the different White balance settings.
The color is enhanced, but I shot this one with the florescent light white balance.
It gave me the whitest building and bluest sky of all the settings.

Day 143 {BBQ season is here}
We may have year around great weather, but Memorial Day weekend is the start to summer and BBQ season!

Day 140 {Embarrassing}
With much difficulty I managed to capture the wee ones last day of Cafeteria duty!
"Mom.....this is embarrassing" "Are you going to put this on your blog?"
"Can't you wait until I take off my hair net."
